Sturdy, tough, but an instruction book would be helpful. June 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've had my Wheeled Duffel Cooler for a while and have been quite impressed. It's good and sturdy - when laying flat, the "bottom" is comprised of a single piece of solid plastic, with curved lips on either side that help to cradle the bag contents nicely. When upright, those curves become the top and bottom of the pull-behind cooler, which add additional strength when towing it from the handle and using the wheels. A very nice touch!
The outside pockets aren't much use, but there are two zippered compartments on either side of the main flap that can hold just about anything under 8" in size. Keys, tickets, sunscreen, etc.
The main compartment is large and roomy, and comes with a zippered/velcroed liner. Here's where an instruction manual would come in handy - it's difficult to know whether the liner is removable or not (it appears to be NOT designed for removal, though you wouldn't initially know that from looking at it). One reviewer reported ripping the liner taking it out - I nearly did the same thing, so it's a common mistake. The liner has a heavy cloth backing, with a tough transparent plastic side to it. It's difficult to describe, but when you open the cooler from the top, you have a large plastic-lined "pocket" with a cloth backing. There's a sealable zipper that closes the plastic to the cloth, and the cloth is velcroed to the cooler. All in all, it's not readily apparent whether you're supposed to put your "36 cans" inside the plastic or unzip the plastic and put them between that and the cloth. And if you add ice, does it go in the same place or somewhere different? There are only 4 ways to do it, but I'd hate to have to guess wrong 3 times before getting it right!
The shoulder strap is a very nice touch, and when stood up on end (so you can use the collapsable handle), there's a good-and-strong sewn-in handle right there for the grabbing. You don't have to extend the metal handle to lift the cooler. And to top everything off, all of the zippers are attached to heavy, rubberized NFL fobs. It not only makes it look more professional (and expensive) but it adds a nice and easy-to-use touch to an already great product.
All in all, this is a top-notch product, and the only thing it lacks is clear instruction as to how to use the can cooling sections properly. If not for that, I'd give it 5 stars.
Ok -- a little smaller than I hoped June 7, 2008 Needed a cooler with wheels AND a shoulder strap so it could be taken easily from city streets, down subway and LIRR staircases -- this fit the bill. The price was right. The inside space of the cooler is a little smaller than I expected (the inside main compartment is approx 16" X 11" X 8"), and it came with a tear in the lining (not worth returning for this small defect.) The side pockets are Ok, but not useful for things that need to remain really cold... Overall, good for the price ($27.60 for NY Jets), as "beach-commuter cooler on-the-go."
NFL Cooler February 9, 2008 The NFL Cooler is an excellent buy. It not only can be used as a cooler, but also a Carry On if travelling by plane, due to the fact that the inside plastic is removable.
I'm happy with this item October 18, 2007 I got this at a great price, especially considering other teams were twice as much...made me glad that I'm a Ravens fan. The cooler/duffle is well built. It's sturdy on the bottom, but the sides and top collapse for easy storage. The handle and wheels are solid and don't get in the way. I throw this in the trunk of my car and use it often, not just on game day. It's plenty large and holds a lot. It has two nice size side pockets and a large center pocket with liner. I would have given it 5 stars if the liner was easy to remove, but so far I haven't had to remove it. In short, if you are looking for a great NFL themed mostly-soft-sided-cooler, I recommend.

Haven't used it yet. I guess it will be okay, but I wish it came with an instruction manual. I thought the ice container was removable because it had velcro on three sides, but I accidently slightly tore the 4th side trying to detach it.
