Best purchase this year October 9, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I normally don't write reviews for such items, but I like this product so much that I had to.
Lately in the last few months i've been trying to save money on my home electricity bill. One month it was over two hundred dollars! I added some more insulation to my attic and purchase this as an alternative to a heated blanket.
The quality is pretty good. No complaints so far. The box however was covered in dust. Most likely Amazon doesn't sell many of these online since people will usually just buy them locally I imagine.
I am 6'4" and this fits me ok. No problem with that. I don't understand why anyone would think this could fit two people. Just look at the picture of it!
This actually isn't for camping and my mom thinks i'm weird for sleeping in a sleeping bag ON my bed. I don't see why!
Since I got this I've kept my heat at night a bit lower. I've changed it from 71 degrees to about 66. At 66 it's kind of cold in my bedroom since the windows are kind of old and need to be replaced. With this sleeping bag I can sleep comfortably all night without needing to get up and turn up the heat. I could probably keep my heat even lower, but I don't want to freeze my cat. I'm just trying to not waste as much money on heating my large house.
Hopefully I can save a few dollars each month by keeping the heat a bit lower. I'll see how it goes. I will say that one day I had my heat on 70 and it's impossible to sleep in this! Way too hot! That's to be expected though. Haven't tried sleeping in 25 degree weather yet, but this winter I will try to sleep outside in the snow with this for a few days and see if I live.
Thought it would be big enough for 2. August 15, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I thought this bag would be big enough for two people, given that it was marketed as a colossal (super King)! However, if you completely unzip it and lay it flat it will cover a queen size air mattress.
Great sleeping bag July 4, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this sleeping bag for my dad for father's day. He absolutely loves it. Its extra big and is made of soft cotton, not that swishy nylon stuff. A great buy for the price.
Fine bag June 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was expecting something bigger given the name. It did not strike me as being remarkably bigger than a standard bag.
For being a 20 degree bag, it didn't keep me warm at 40 degrees. I thought the quality was fine, though. I ended up using it inside a folded king size comforter.
Okie Decent bag.. June 20, 2008 This bag was good when I bought this, but after the initial 3-4 times usage, the inner part of the bag started tearing off... and now.. it doesnt seem to be usable at all! I am planning to get it replaced.
